Outsourced Philippines guide
A careful reference-check handoff for recruitment coordinators
Structure consent, outreach, and evidence so Philippines recruitment support does not drift into the hiring decision.
Reference checks mix scheduling, privacy, evidence, and judgment. Clear handoffs let a coordinator manage the process while the hiring owner decides what the information means.
Confirm the permitted process
Record candidate consent, approved referees, contact details, role, relationship, question set, notice language, jurisdictional requirements, and completion deadline. Use only the client-approved channel and system.
Do not find or contact extra people simply because their details appear online. The authorized process defines the population.
Questions to settle
- Is consent recorded?
- Are contacts approved?
- Which questions are allowed?
Capture responses faithfully
Attribute each answer, record the question asked, note refusals or uncertainty, and distinguish direct observation from hearsay. Avoid personality labels and protected or irrelevant information.
The coordinator may schedule, ask the approved questions, and organize notes. Credibility, risk, suitability, and hiring decisions remain with authorized client owners.
Questions to settle
- Is each note attributable?
- Are uncertainties preserved?
- Were restricted topics avoided?
Hand off without scoring by instinct
Provide the completed record, missing contacts, inconsistencies, and any required follow-up as a neutral packet. Do not invent a pass/fail score after the fact.
Apply access and retention rules after disposition. A complete reference process does not prove future performance or eliminate bias.
Questions to settle
- What remains incomplete?
- Who reviews discrepancies?
- Is retention controlled?
