Outsourced Philippines guide
A variant-proof checklist for Philippines ecommerce catalog support
Check product variants against source evidence before catalog changes reach customers.
A product page can look polished while its size, color, price, or stock mapping points to the wrong item. Catalog support needs a variant-level proof, not a page-level glance.
Anchor every variant to a source
Record the parent product, SKU, option values, approved copy, price source, inventory source, media, and effective date. Keep supplier wording distinct from approved customer-facing claims.
Treat missing or conflicting identifiers as a hold. Guessing a mapping can create orders that cannot be fulfilled.
Questions to settle
- Does every option resolve to one SKU?
- Are price and stock sources dated?
- Are conflicts held?
Test combinations like a customer
Select each in-scope option combination and confirm the title, image, price, availability, URL state, and cart item. Test a narrow viewport without completing checkout.
Keep a small exception log for unavailable combinations, inherited images, and intentional price differences so a reviewer can distinguish design from defect.
Questions to settle
- Does the cart preserve the chosen variant?
- Do images match the option?
- Was checkout left unsubmitted?
Publish only approved corrections
The specialist may prepare edits and proof screenshots. Merchandising, claims, pricing, discount, and release decisions remain with authorized owners.
After release, reopen the live route and record the final result. A successful admin save is not proof of the customer experience.
Questions to settle
- Who approved the change?
- Does the live page match the source?
- Is the release evidence retained?
Sources and next steps
Use the operations support work lane as a practical starting point, then review the onboarding checklist before expanding the role.
